Find a workshop by service

Not every workshop does every job. Start from the service you need and pick from the workshops that have declared it, rather than ringing round to find out.

How are these categories defined?

These categories come straight from the Transport Department register, where each workshop declares its own service range. A workshop can declare several — general repair alongside oil changes and tyres, for instance.

A declared category means the workshop is equipped for that work; it does not guarantee parts or staff are free on the day. For anything needing a specific qualification — high-voltage EV work and Transport Department vehicle examination in particular — call ahead.

If you are not sure which category your problem falls into, start with general vehicle maintenance: those workshops handle most mechanical and electrical faults and can tell you after inspection whether you need a specialist.
